They’re the forgotten ones of first responders. Yet they are often the first to run into some of the most dangerous situations in our country.
I’m talking about Emergency Medical Services warriors.
As my agency continues our campaign to donate $500,000 worth of services to police, first responders, and veterans across America … today, we bring a tribute to the sacrifices of this quiet group of heroes.
Watch this video. Then SHARE this tribute in honor of those who put others first.
It’s an ironic word, really.
Ironic because it’s an inevitable part of life.
But as EMS warriors, they don’t accept that.
They go to battle every day – fighting against the idea that “death” is inevitable.
It’s their goal to bring LIFE every day.
Yet there’s no glory in what they do.
Just the opposite.
They’re often called the “forgotten ones” of first responders.
But they don’t search for fame.
They don’t look for recognition.
Their mission is to instead find that LIFE.
To bring life into this world.
To save life from leaving this world.
To savor every moment of life in every individual – regardless of who they are or what they look like.
They will run into life-or-death situations without thinking twice … because they know that life is on their side … and death fears them.
It fears them because it knows they are its enemy.
EMS warriors don’t wait for death to come knocking.
They go kicking down its door … and they remind death of who is in charge.
They are warriors of light.
It’s their solemn vow to continue to fight death at every turn … and to help preserve those precious breaths of life that make it all worth fighting for.
God bless those who make it all worth fighting for.
God bless those who FIGHT for it.
And God bless America.
