A couple of weeks ago, we asked Americans to help us find someone in need.  What happened next was completely unexpected.

When we launch the membership side of The Whiskey Patriots in about a week, we’ll be asking all members – individuals and businesses – to commit a random act of kindness per week.  In anticipation, we decided to start doing our own.

We asked people to nominate someone who needed a hand up.  You can read about it or nominate someone here.

As you can imagine, we were flooded with messages.

But we were also inundated with people asking how THEY could help.  Americans all across the country asking us to pass along some of the requests to them so that they could anonymously support some of these men and women who were in need.

Then came the businesses.  We had companies reach out asking us to pass along some of those requests so that they could also help support their fellow Americans…. completely anonymously.

In an effort to inspire this chain of kindness to continue, I’d like to share with you just a touch of what has happened since we launched:

  • A single mom of three who is struggling to pay bills received an American Express gift card for $100.
  • A grandma who is trying to raise her young grandchild was sent a brand new tricycle for the kid.
  • A police officer who couldn’t afford a decent bullet proof vest received one.
  • A former Marine buried with bills had an overdue electric bill paid.
  • A soon-to-be father who is working two jobs and can’t make ends meet just had his broken down car repaired with no bill.

Do you remember the days before social media?  The times when we didn’t know anything about our neighbor’s political perspective… and we were willing to help them out just because it was the right thing to do?

We’re here to bring that back.

Civil discourse and helping your neighbor isn’t gone – it’s right here with The Whiskey Patriots.  Please – help us pass along this message to inspire others.

And on the form below… feel free to either tell us about someone who needs a hand-up, or hit us up if you want to help someone as well.  God bless America.
