We have a victim mentality here in America, and it’s becoming a problem. Instead of overcoming the challenges we face, we declare we are a victim and that someone ELSE needs to take care of us.
Guess what? While everyone may have been created equal in the eyes of God, not everyone starts at the same place. And not everyone will end at the same place.
You’re black. Or white. Or Hispanic. Or Asian. Or poor. Or rich. Or blind. Or deaf. Or fat. Or skinny. Or gay. Or straight. Or liberal. Or conservative.
But what’s more important is that if you live in America, you’re all Americans. You live in the greatest country on this planet and no matter your socioeconomic background, you have opportunities like most people will NEVER have.
Last week, someone wrote an article saying that police who arrest looters during Hurricane Irma are white supremacists.
I’ve heard politicians talking about how if you’re poor, you’ll never have a chance to be successful.
I’ve heard people talk about how if you’re Hispanic, people will never take you seriously. Or that if you’re a woman, you’ll never be paid what you deserve and you shouldn’t try. Or that if you’re gay you’ll never get a promotion.
Enough of this garbage. Enough of this rhetoric. Use it to fuel you. Use it to drive you … The only person who is going to result in your failure in life … Is you..
Don’t want to be a victim? Then don’t be.
That’s all. God bless America.
