The police investigation into an attack against a conservative activist on the UC Berkeley campus has been reopened just days after being closed, reported Fox News.

The alleged attack was caught on camera and clearly shows Turning Point USA’s Hayden Williams being repeatedly punched in the face. Williams was on campus recruiting members for a grass-roots conservative organization founded in 2012.

Campus police and school administrators came under fire on social media after they did not quickly condemn the violence committed on school grounds.

Williams weighed in on the incident saying, “The person who assaulted me is being hailed as a hero by the campus community, many people are told not to snitch on him. That’s how hostile campuses are to conservatives. People think it’s totally justified to violently attack conservatives because they disagree with their views.”

An employee of UC Berkeley praised the event in a tweet, which has since been deleted. “OH MY GOD THE MAGA PEOPLE ON UC BERKELEY CAMPUS YESTERDAY GOT PUNCHED IN THE FACE BY SOMEONE THIS MAKES ME FEEL EMOTIONALLY SO MUCH BETTER.”

So, America. Time to weigh in.

Had the roles been reversed and a MAGA hat-wearing conservative were the assailant, would this case not have been a massive news story, undoubtedly crucifying conservatives in the public eye?

How can the party of ‘love’ and ‘tolerance’ be so quick to incite violence against those who have differing political opinions? And why does it seem to happen so frequently?

Why are we not teaching our children about right and wrong anymore?

Why is everything based on emotion and feelings instead of pursuing truth and educating each other and ourselves?

Why are mainstream media channels ignoring or delaying responses to stories like these? Why are false narratives continuing to spread like wildfire across social media and social groups?

How is it that actor Jussie Smollett was able to garner national attention when he was the victim of a hate crime, citing his alleged attackers as ‘MAGA country’ Trump supporters?

And why, after authorities released that Smollett orchestrated the entire attack, was there no immediate condemnation from liberals?

Instead of confronting the issue and proclaiming how awful the staged event was, prominent figures like Nancy Pelosi quietly deleted tweets that were in support of Smollett when he was still the supposed ‘victim’ of a hate crime.

Why are we letting public figures off the hook? And why are no new tweets from the left not condemning his actions?

Why are we so biased by party lines that now representatives like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are attacking moderate politicians, threatening to create a list of those not willing to side with the left on each vote and having their seats replaced?

We’re halfway through the Trump presidency and quickly approaching the beginning of another countrywide campaign. Where will you side come election day?

For those quiet conservatives that are afraid to speak up in their circle of friends, their co-workers, and their social lives for fear of being shamed or even attacked… you are not alone.

You have a home right here with the Whiskey Patriots.
